Description

Nos. 2 and 3 High Fold are a pair of cottages, likely built in the mid to late 18th century and altered over time. They are constructed from coursed squared sandstone with quoins and feature a stone slate roof. The cottages have a rectangular double-depth plan and stand two storeys tall, with each cottage comprising one bay. The doorways, which have plain surrounds, are located near the outer corners, and between them are two 3-light windows on each floor, all featuring flat-faced flush-mullions. Notably, the first-floor window of No. 2 was originally a 4-light window, but the fourth light has been blocked. A chimney is positioned at the center of the ridge. Additionally, a barn extends to the left of No. 3.
