Description

The Old Rawdon Manse is an 18th-century house located in Nether Yeadon, Aireborough. It is a double-depth plan building constructed of coursed squared sandstone with quoins, and has a stone slate roof. The house is two storeys high with a symmetrical three-bay front. The central doorway has a plain surround, flanked by two three-light windows on each floor. These windows feature slightly recessed flat-faced mullions and plain surrounds, with shutter lugs in the ground-floor jambs. Corniced gable chimneys and gable copings are present. A less significant 19th-century wing is set back on the left-hand end. A 19th-century kitchen wing is attached to the rear of the right-hand end, and to this end is a further single-storey outbuilding, possibly a former stable. Inside, a dog-legged staircase has a ramped handrail.
