Description

These are circa 1840 stepped terraces of cottages, or artisan dwellings, built on a hillside. They are constructed of sandstone that appears like brick, with stone slate roofs and corniced chimneys. The buildings feature two-light, square mullion windows with revealed sashes and ashlar lintels. Doorways have squared jambs and are topped with stone slab hoods.
