Description

  1. 5111 MAIN STREET LS29 7BU (South Side) Burley in Wharfedale LS29 7BU --------------------- No 71 SE 1646 8/126 II GV 2. Probably circa 1800. At right-angles to the road, and projecting forward of the houses abutting left and right. 2 storeys and attic. Coursed, dressed stone. One window: a small sash in the gable, a sash with slab surrounds on the 1st storey and a larger fixed window on the ground with moulded cornice over simplified pilasters (possibly originally a shop window). Left-hand recessed doorway with slab surround. A modillion eaves cornice is continued from Nos 73 to 77 (odd) and formed into a pediment on the gable. Slate roof.

Nos 71 to 87 (odd) Main Street form a group.
