Description
Nos 50 and 52 on Main Street in Burley in Wharfedale date from around 1800 and are a pair of two-storey houses built from squared, dressed stone with a stone slab roof. The gables have copings with kneelers. No 52 features two windows, while No 50 has one window; all windows are three-light with recessed flat mullions and wider central lights. The lower window of No 50 has been converted into a shop window, which includes a moulded wooden fascia supported by brackets. The doors are located between the windows and are recessed in straight-headed openings. No 50 has a door with four moulded panels, while No 52 has a door with six moulded panels, two of which are glazed. Nos 48 to 58 Main Street (even) form a group with these houses.
