Description
These are three terraced houses at 54, 56, and 58 Main Street, Burley in Wharfedale, dating from 1871. They are built of dressed coursed stone with slate roofs, and each house has a gable with a finial. The windows are mullioned, with a variety of arrangements above and below. The upper windows, from left to right, are a five-light window, a three-light window with a round-headed top, a single-light window with a round-headed top, a three-light window, and another single-light window with a round-headed top. The lower windows have a door with an arched Tudor form, including an overlight and a four-panel door; a four-light window with a transom; a three-light window with a transom; a gabled porch enclosing a four-centred arch within a rectangular moulding; a three-light window with a transom; and a gabled porch, which appears to be a later rebuild and contains a four-panel door. Numbers 48 to 58 Main Street (the even numbers) form a group.
