Description
The Former Corn Mill Cottage Barn, located on the south side abutting Corn Mill Cottage, is a barn that has been converted into two dwellings after 1988. It features a weather-vane inscribed with "TP 1738" and is positioned at right angles to the rear of Corn Mill Cottage. The structure is built from coursed, dressed stone and has a flat slab roof. It includes large archways with depressed heads at both ends of each side, with the archway on the east being rusticated. This barn is part of a group that includes Burley Hall, the former orchard walls south of Burley Hall, the piers and gates of the entrance to Burley Hall from Corn Mill Lane, the garden wall to the south of Burley Hall, the viaduct and bridge south of the mill pond, Corn Mill Cottage, and the Corn Mill itself.
