Description
Horse Close consists of a row of estate cottages built in the late 18th century as part of the Royds Hall Estate. These two-storey cottages are constructed from sandstone and feature stone slate roofs with chimneys that have cavetto cornices. The cottages have two-light square mullioned windows, except for the easternmost cottage, which has three lights. All windows have squared surrounds, and the doorways are broad with squared jambs. The rear of the cottages has flush quoins.
