Description

This is a row of four cottages, dating from the late 18th century. They are built of hammer-dressed stone, with a stone slate roof and comprise five single-cell units. Each cottage has two storeys. The ground floor features a doorway with sill ties, and a mullioned window of five lights. The first floor has a mullioned window of six lights, though some mullions have been lost, except in the window of number 8. There are four stacks positioned along the ridge. The cottages have quoins. The rear of the properties overlooks the Rochdale Canal.
