Description
Number 4 Broad Bottom is a house dated 1844, constructed from rock-faced stone with a stone slate roof. It features a double-pile design and stands two storeys tall with an attic, showcasing a Vernacular Revival style. All windows are double chamfered mullioned. To the left of the doorway, which is set within a recess and has a giant lintel, there is a 10-light cruciform window, with a cross-window above it. The left-hand return wall has two bays of 5-light windows on each floor, along with single light attic windows, and a date plaque is set between them. The rear of the house includes a tall stair-window with small paned glazing, a doorway with a basket arched lintel, and a 4-light flat faced mullioned window on each floor. The gable is coped with kneelers, and there are two stacks.
