Description

The bothy at the roadside on the east side of the yard of Upper Swain Royd Farm is a small, two-storey building constructed in the late 18th century. It is made of sandstone and features a stone slate roof with kneelers at the gable ends. The building has single and two-light square mullion windows set in squared surrounds, as well as a doorway with squared jambs. This structure is included for its group value.
