Description
Upper Swain Royd Farmhouse is a late 18th-century farmhouse situated set back from the road within a farmyard. The building is constructed of thin sandstone, appearing like brick, with flush quoins. It has a stone slate roof with saddlestones and kneelers, along with corniced chimneys. The facade features three-light square mullion windows, with one light blocked on the first floor, all set within squared surrounds. A gabled stone porch with kneelers is located on the left-hand side, and a plain squared jamb doorway is on the right.
