Description

The former Duke of York Public House is a building that was enlarged around 1800 to 1810 from a 17th-century farmhouse. It stands two storeys high with a sandstone "brick" front facing Dean Lane and features a hipped stone slate roof. The front elevation has three bays with two-light square mullioned windows and includes a modern porch. There are two windows on the return side, along with a 17th-century gabled wing that has a chamfered doorway and two-light chamfered mullioned windows on the side.
