Description

Queen Street Chambers is a pair of houses that have been converted into offices, built around 1820. The structure is made of brick with painted ashlar dressings and features a hipped slate roof, which has two ridge stacks and one side wall stack. The building has a plinth, quoins on the right side at the ground floor, a band at the first floor, and moulded eaves.

The façade consists of three storeys plus a basement and features five windows across and four down. The windows mainly have painted brick flat arches, including five plain sash windows, with the central one being smaller. Above these, there are three 6-pane sashes on the left and two 2-light casements on the right. The central entrance is a mid-19th century ashlar doorcase that is panelled, topped with a cornice and a semicircular pediment that has a tympanum inscribed with "Queen Street Chambers." On either side of the door, there are two plain sash windows.

The right side of the building has a blank wall, flanked by a plain sash window on the left and a double plain sash window on the right. The basement features similar fenestration, with a central plain sash window. The second floor has three smaller windows, with the one on the right being larger, and the basement has a single square opening on the right. The interior has not been inspected.
