Description
No. 72 Queen Street is a house that has been converted into offices. It was built in the mid-19th century and has undergone some alterations in the late 20th century. The building is constructed of brick with stone dressings and features a hipped slate roof with a single gable and side wall stacks. It has a plinth, a first-floor band, and moulded wooden eaves. The structure is three storeys tall and has a four-window range. Most of the windows are plain sashes with painted brick flat arches. Above the main windows, there are two smaller plain sashes and to the right, two six-pane sashes. The entrance is off-centre and round-arched, featuring a rubbed brick head and a brick doorcase with panelled imposts and a keystone. To the right of the entrance, there are two plain sashes, and to the left, there is a late 20th-century recessed glazing bar bow window. The interior has not been inspected. The building is included for its group value.
