Description
Number 19 is a house, now used as offices, built around 1830, with attached railings added around 1870. The building is constructed of brick with ashlar dressings and features a rusticated plinth, angle pilasters, a cornice, and a blocking course. It has two storeys plus a basement and is arranged with three windows across and two down. The front, facing Wheat's Lane, has a recessed central section with a small margin glazed window featuring an Egyptian architrave. Below this is a pedimented doorcase with an Egyptian architrave, a six-panel double door, and an overlight. On either side of the entrance, there is a single 12-pane sash window on each floor, all adorned with Egyptian architraves, with the lower windows being pedimented. The basement has two segment-headed openings with multiple keystones. The left side of the building has two similar windows on each floor, while the right side has irregular fenestration. The interior has not been inspected. Outside, at the left end, there is a wrought-iron hooped railing set on a rock-faced stone plinth.
