Description
36 and 38 Bank Street are two houses that have been converted into offices, built in the early 19th century. They are constructed of brick with painted ashlar dressings and feature a slate roof with two gable stacks. The windows are adorned with splayed rusticated lintels. The buildings rise three storeys and have a three-window range of 12-pane sash windows, with three 9-pane sashes above. On the ground floor to the left, there are three 12-pane sashes, with the central one being smaller, and to the right, there is another 12-pane sash. Each house has a doorcase; the left one features scroll brackets supporting a flat hood and a panelled door with an overlight, while the right one has a simpler cornice and a panelled door with an overlight. The interior has not been inspected.
