Caretakers House At Bole Hill Primary School

The caretaker's house at Bole Hill Primary School was built in 1896 and features mid-20th century alterations. Designed by WJ Hale for the Sheffield School Board, it is constructed from rock-faced stone with ashlar dressings and has gabled and hipped slate roofs, including a prominent coped side wall stack. The building is two storeys high with garrets and has a two-window range. The facing gable showcases a double plain sash window with a stone mullion, and above it, there is a three-light casement window in the garret. Below the gable, a canted wooden oriel window is set under a segmental relieving arch with a keystone. The right side of the house features two plain sash windows, with a plain sash window on the lower left and a mid-20th century lean-to porch on the right. The interior has not been inspected. This house serves as an ancillary building to Bole Hill Primary School.
