Description
The boundary wall and plaque at Walkley Public Library were built in 1904 by Hemsoll & Patterson. The wall is made of rock-faced stone with ashlar dressings and features rounded corners and a rounded ashlar coping, which was originally topped with a railing. There are entrances at each end, with steps leading up to the entrance on the left. At the top of the wall, there is a bronze plaque inscribed in memory of James Crowther, who served as City Councillor for the area from 1901 to 1916. This structure is included for its group value.
