Description
These workshops and stores have been converted into meeting and exhibition rooms. They were originally built in the early 19th century, with an addition constructed in the mid-19th century, and were restored around 1984. The buildings are constructed of coursed squared stone with hipped stone slate roofs and stone ridges. A single stone stack is present on the front wall.
The main building on the left is single-storied with a 9-window range. The windows are renewed casements with glazing bars and transoms. A 2-light window is positioned centrally, with a stable door to the left and a board door and smaller casement to the right. A slightly set-back building to the right has a central board door flanked by a casement to the left and two casements to the right. All openings are topped with stone lintels. Further to the right is an opening with brick infill and a board door. Mousehole Forge, of which these buildings formed part, was a significant producer of anvils until 1933.
