Description
3 and 5 School Lane are two houses built in the late 18th century and early 19th century, with some late 20th century additions and alterations. They are constructed of coursed squared stone and brick, featuring ashlar dressings and slate roofs. The buildings are two storeys high and have a three-window range.
No. 3, located on the left, has a wooden gutter supported by brackets, along with a single gable and ridge stacks. It features a renewed three-light window, and below it, there is a three-light glazing bar casement next to a late 20th century door, both with stone lintels. The left gable includes a late 20th century porch.
No. 5, on the right, has a rendered plinth and a gable stack. It contains two three-light 19th century glazing bar casements. The central entrance has a 19th century moulded four-panel door, flanked by larger three-light glazing bar casements. The rear elevation is rendered. The interior has not been inspected.
