Description

Bradway Lodge is an early 19th-century lodge, originally serving as the entrance to Beauchief Park and later converted into a house. A late 19th-century addition was also made. The building is constructed from coursed squared stone with hipped stone slate roofs, topped by a double-shafted, lozenge-shaped coped ridge stack. It is a single-story structure with a T-shaped plan. The projecting front features a central studded, triangular-headed doorway, flanked by single, triangular-headed two-light casement windows. Beyond these are single blank windows, all with a linked hoodmold. A similar window with a hoodmold faces the street at the rear. A single-story, lean-to addition was added to the rear in the late 19th century. The interior has not been inspected.
