Description
The farm buildings at Beauchief Abbey Farmhouse, dating from the late 18th century, include a barn, stables, and a cartshed, which are now used as a park keeper's store. The buildings feature coursed rubble and coursed squared stone, topped with Welsh slate and stone slate roofs. They are single-storey structures arranged in a layout of 5 by 8 bays. The barn, which consists of 3 bays, has a stone slate roof on the right bay and a large central door, with two square casements to the left. The smaller stable to the left has one window and a stable door. To the right, there is a return range with a higher stable that includes two barred windows and a door. The lower cartshed, also to the right, has two close boarded doors, with two garage doors to the left and a single garage door to the right. The interior has not been inspected. These buildings are included for their group value.
