Description

The Manor is a late 16th-century farmhouse, later used as a house, with a mid-19th century addition and alterations made in the mid and late 20th century. It is constructed of coursed squared stone with a rendered and colourwashed front, ashlar dressings, and a stone slate roof. The roof features two ridge stacks, wooden eaves, and moulded bargeboards. The building is two storeys high with attics, and has a three-window front. The double-gabled front includes 20th-century three-light wooden cross casements. To the left is a two-light chamfered mullioned window with a drip mould, and above it, a small attic window with a stone surround. Below the mullioned window, to the right, is a stone doorway flanked to the left by a two-light window with chamfered stone mullions and drip mould. There are also two 20th-century three-light wooden cross casements to the right. All windows are fitted with shutters. The right return features a two-storey crenellated addition with buttresses and a string course, topped by a crenellated octagonal corner turret. A two-light window with chamfered stone mullions is present on the left side of the return. Below, there is a 19th-century glazed lean-to porch. The interior has not been inspected.
