Description

The gateway and boundary wall at Number 947, the east lodge to Hillsborough Park, date from the early 19th century and have undergone some alterations in the late 20th century. The structure is made of cast and wrought iron, as well as coursed squared stone. It features four panelled cast-iron gate piers that have plinths and pyramidal caps. The central pair of wrought-iron gates is flanked by short railings with chamfered plinths. The boundary wall, topped with half round stone coping, extends 15 meters to the left and 20 meters to the right, and includes a single pier with a pyramidal cap.
