Description
Holly Mount is a house dated 1831, located on Sandygate Road in Sheffield. The building features textured ashlar with ashlar dressings and has a slate roof with a coped stone gable stack and a single coped gable. It has a wooden gutter supported by stone brackets. The windows have splayed incised lintels and the house is two storeys high with a two-window range of 16-pane plastic framed imitation sashes. On the first floor, there is a central datestone with fleurons, inscribed "G E C 1831," and to the right, a stone inscribed "Holly Mount." The central entrance has a reeded round-arched stone doorcase with imposts, a keystone, and a fanlight, flanked by similar 16-pane windows as those above. The interior has not been inspected.
