Description
The Lodge to The Towers and attached gateway is a building dating from 1896, designed for Mr. Levy. It is constructed of coursed rubble with ashlar dressings and has plain tile roofs, showcasing a Scottish Baronial style. The building features raised and partly crowstepped gables, with a single gable and side wall stacks, and is two storeys high.
The gabled southeast front includes a three-light stone mullioned window with a label mould and a coat of arms, situated above a segment-headed four-light cross mullion window. The southwest front, which faces the drive, has an attached round tower with two stages, a conical roof, and a corbelled first-floor ashlar band. The lower stage of the tower has a single light window, while above it, there is a round window positioned at right angles. To the left of the tower, there is a lean-to porch featuring a single light window and a doorway to the left.
At the corner of the lodge, there is an attached four-centred archway that connects the lodge to the gateway. The gateway itself has square moulded ashlar piers with gabled caps and wooden gates. The interior has not been inspected.
