Description
The overbridge carrying Stumperlowe Crescent Road is a late 19th-century structure. It features a skewed single span supported by wrought-iron girders and coursed squared stone abutments with ashlar dressings. The bridge is adorned with an elaborate traceried cast-iron balustrade that includes openwork pedestals topped with square domed caps and ball finials. At the east end, there are two traceried spandrel brackets, while those at the west end have been destroyed. The north-west and south-east corners of the bridge are reinforced with buttresses, and the north-west side includes stone steps with chamfered coping leading to the balustrade wall.
