Description
The building is a dovecote and cowhouse located approximately 15 metres to the north-west of Brook Farmhouse, dating from the early 18th century and heightened in the late 18th or early 19th century. It is constructed of rubble sandstone, with the upper section made of coursed, dressed sandstone, and features a stone slate roof. The structure is tall and two-storey, with a single window on the first floor. The lower part has quoins, and there is a central boarded door set in a square-cut surround. Flanking the door are two casement windows with plain sills and lintels. On the first floor, there is a doorway to the right and a central Venetian window with a square-cut surround, which retains its outer casements with glazing bars and some pontil-marked panes. The roof is hipped. Inside, there are nesting holes built into the first-floor walls, which have been heightened in brick.
