Description
The dovecote at Brook Farm, dating from the mid-18th century, is constructed of red brick and features a plain tile roof topped with a square wooden cupola and a weather vane. It has a dentil eaves cornice and stands two storeys tall. The south elevation includes a segment-headed doorway with a plank door, and to the right, there is a cart entrance with double doors and a timber lintel. Above this entrance, there is a 3-light segment-headed window. On the west elevation, a round-arched window is positioned high up, intersected by a brick band at the eaves level. The north side has a segment-headed window on each floor, placed irregularly. This structure is included for its group value only.
