Description

Common Farmhouse is a mid-18th century farmhouse constructed of red brick with a plain tile roof, brick coped gables with plain kneelers, and a stone plinth. The brick gable stacks were rebuilt in the 20th century. The east elevation is symmetrical, arranged with three bays. A central doorway features a wedge brick lintel, above which is a raised and fielded panelled door with a rectangular overlight. This is flanked on each side by glazing bar sashes also under wedge brick lintels. There are three similar windows on the second floor, the centre one narrower. The top floor has a 2-light casement window flanked by three-light casements, all under wedge brick lintels. A dentil eaves cornice runs along the top of the building.
