Description

The tiered stone steps located opposite number 44 on Union Street are likely remnants of a cross base. They date from the post-medieval period, probably from the 16th or 17th century. Made of red sandstone, the steps are rectangular in shape and consist of three tiers, with the rear part integrated into the garden wall.
