This is a statue of a Roman soldier, located approximately 60 metres to the north-north-east of the Bear Pit. It is likely from the 17th century and made of limestone, which has weathered significantly over time. The statue depicts a near life-size figure of a Roman soldier, carved in a naive style. It is now situated in an informal garden setting.
