Description
The garden house, located approximately 30 metres to the south-east of Thurcroft Hall, dates from the mid to late 18th century. It features an ashlar front with rubble side walls and a Westmorland slate roof. This single-storey structure consists of a single cell that backs onto a garden wall and has a plinth. The central entrance is a 6-panel door with a plain fanlight, framed by an architrave with a moulded impost and a keyed archivolt. There is a decorative band beneath the flanking semi-domed arches, topped by a pediment. The interior has been converted into a shower room and is not of special interest.
