Description

Lea Cottage, The Cottage, and Cobweb Cottage are three cottages that originated as a single house in the 17th century, likely subdivided in the 19th century, with 20th-century additions at the rear. The building is constructed of coursed rubble limestone and features a Welsh slate roof. It stands two stories tall with three windows on the first floor, and large quoins are present.

Lea Cottage, located on the left, has a 20th-century door in an ashlar surround to the right of a three-light casement window with glazing bars, which is set beneath a cemented lintel. There is a similar window above, positioned beneath the eaves. The Cottage, in the center, features a door with a plain lintel to the left of a similar window on each floor, and above the door is a blocked double-chamfered window surround. Cobweb Cottage, at the east end of the row, has a door with a bonded surround to the right of a window on each floor, with windows similar to those of the other cottages.

The building also has shaped kneelers, gable copings, and a central brick ridge stack. On the east return, there is a walled-up, quoined doorway. Attached farm buildings are present but are not of special interest. The cottages are included for their group value.
