Description
The Vicarage is a vicarage built in the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed from ashlar magnesian limestone and features a Welsh-slate roof. The building has two storeys with an attic and is arranged in three bays. It has a plinth and a central part-glazed door with a margin-light-glazed overlight, all set within a swept-shouldered architrave topped by a consoled cornice. The flanking windows are sash types with glazing bars, featuring bracketed sills and flat arches, while a small inserted casement is located to the right of the door. A first-floor band runs beneath three smaller windows that mirror those on the ground floor. The eaves cornice is wooden with modillions, which return at each end in stone. The gable copings have been renewed, and there are corniced ashlar end stacks, each with a small round-arched opening. At the rear, the outer bays each have a French window in a swept-shouldered architrave with a cornice, and the first floor has sash windows with glazing bars. On the right return, there are central 16-pane sashes on both the ground and first floors, along with a round-headed casement in the attic. The modillions from the front return as brackets supporting the cavetto-moulded gable copings.
