Description
This is a row of three cottages that were formerly the Wheatsheaf Public House, dating from the late 18th century. The cottages are constructed from coursed rubble gritstone and feature quoins on the central range, coped gables, and moulded kneelers. There are brick stacks at the intermediate and gable ends, and the roofs are made of stone and Welsh slate. The building is two storeys high and has three bays, with the northeast end being lower and stepped downwards. The taller bays have sash windows, some with plain surrounds and others with heads and cills. The lower bay features stacked 2-light flush mullioned windows. There are three doorways, each with massive lintels and quoined surrounds, all fitted with six-panel doors, with the center door having the upper two panels glazed.
