Description
No. 5 Swan Street is a house that has been converted into a dental surgery. It dates from around 1800 and has been altered over time. The building is constructed of roughcast brick and features a 20th-century cement-tile roof. It stands three storeys high and has two bays. The central entrance consists of a 20th-century part-glazed door with an old overlight that has radial glazing bars, all within an altered doorcase. To the left of the door is a 16-pane sash window set in a flush wooden architrave, while to the right is a later sash window with glazing bars in a similar surround. The first floor has sash windows with glazing bars, and the second floor has 6-pane sash windows. The building is topped with dentilled eaves and has brick end stacks, one of which is shared with No. 3 Swan Street.
