Description
This is a garden ornament, specifically a pedestal with an urn, located at the center of a maze garden approximately 12 meters south of Hickleton Hall. It dates from the late 18th century and is likely to have been moved from its original location. The pedestal is made of limestone and features a square shape with a moulded plinth, a die adorned with carved festoons at each corner, and a cornice. The urn on top has a gadrooned base with weathered faces in relief, a body carved with foliage, and semicircular motifs beneath the rim. This structure is included for its group value with the surrounding landscape.
