Description

The base of a cross located in the churchyard of St. Wilfrid's, likely dating from the late 17th century, is made of limestone. It features a square column with sunken panels and a weathered cornice. The square shaft that rises from the column is flanked by two back-to-back eagles clutching their prey. This structure is included for its group value.
