Description

Moor House Farm House is a farmhouse dating from the early 17th century, with an early 18th-century rear wing. It has been altered in the 20th century. The building is constructed of coursed rubble and brick, featuring ashlar dressings. It originally had a pantile roof, which includes a single ridge and a single gable stack.

The south front has four bays and is two storeys high. There is an off-centre doorway with a chamfered ashlar surround and a four-centred arched head. To the right of the doorway is a 20th-century casement window. To the left, there is another doorway, followed by 20th-century double doors. Above, there are two small 20th-century casements and a three-light casement to the left. The left end of this range was rebuilt in 1989.

At the rear, there is a brick wing with a three-bay gabled front. The stone basement features a single three-light ashlar mullion window. Above the basement, there is an off-centre doorway flanked by three-light casements, all with segmental brick heads. Above this, there is a brick band and three more three-light casements, with the left ones having segmental heads and the right one featuring an inserted 20th-century concrete lintel. There is another brick band above, leading to a raised gable with kneelers.
