Description

Tickhill House is an early 19th-century building of hammer-dressed stone, situated on Sunderland Street. It has a hipped slate roof and originally consisted of three bays. The front facade features flush-framed sash windows with glazing bars. The first-floor windows are accompanied by wrought iron balconies with crinkle-crankle balusters supported by scrolled brackets. A glazed door is located on the west elevation, complemented by a fanlight with glazing bars within a semi-circular shape set within a rectangular frame. Above the door is a moulded cornice incorporating elongated tetraglyphs with guttae. A two-storey wing extends to the rear of the property.
