Description

Stonehill Farmhouse is a farmhouse built around 1800, with some alterations. It features brindled brick in English garden wall bond, accented with contrasting brick dressings, and has a pantile roof. The building stands two storeys high with an attic and has three windows on the first floor, along with a later wing at the rear left. The entrance includes a 20th-century panelled door with a three-pane overlight set beneath a segmental arch in a basket-arched recess. Flanking the door are 20th-century casement windows with later brick infill beneath raised sills and segmentally-arched heads. On the first floor, the outer windows match those on the ground floor, while there is a blind central window featuring a projecting stone sill and basket arch. The farmhouse has dentilled eaves, shaped kneelers, and ashlar gable copings. There are brick end stacks, with the left stack having been rebuilt. Boarded attic doors are present on each return. The rear wing has been truncated and now has a flat roof.
