Description

Hatfield Methodist Church is a building of group value, dating from 1835 with a later addition. It is constructed of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with a Welsh slate roof. The original part of the church is a single-story, single-cell structure. It has a brick plinth and two round-headed sash windows with glazing bars, set beneath round arches. There is an eaves band to the hipped roof. The rear elevation features windows matching those on the front, with a pilaster between them. Inside, the church retains contemporary box pews and a reading desk. The one-story addition at the west end is not of particular architectural interest.
