Description

This barn, located approximately 15 metres east of Bullhouse Hall, dates back to 1695 and 1700 and has been altered over time. It is constructed from coursed, squared, dressed stone and features a Welsh slate roof, with asbestos on the rear. The barn has two storeys and is designed in an L-shape, consisting of eight internal bays.

There are two tall, segmental-headed cart entries; the left entry is a later insertion that fits the style, possibly from the 19th century, while the right entry is dated 1700. Additionally, there are four smaller entrances, one of which is part-blocked, all with quoined surrounds. The leftmost entrance is inscribed with the date "JUN ye 10 1695". The barn also includes two pitching holes at a high level, chamfered ventilation slits, and hollow-chamfered gable copings on moulded kneelers, topped with apex finials.

Inside, the barn features principal rafter trusses with queen struts. The internal angle of the barn has been infilled with later structures.
