Description
St Peter's School Annexe is a house, now part of a school, built around 1840 and altered in the late 19th century. It is constructed of white brick with painted stone dressings and has a slate roof. The building has a symmetrical design, with two storeys and three bays. The windows are sashed without glazing bars, and the central bay on the first floor projects slightly forward. The first floor windows feature sill bands and rubbed brick flat arches. A later 19th-century addition on the ground floor projects forward under a slate roof, creating an open porch for the front door, flanked by paired windows separated by brick pillars and topped with painted lintels. The front door has four raised and fielded panels, an architrave, and an overlight. The building is finished with a modillioned timber cornice gutter and has gable chimneys. The interior has not been inspected, and alterations at the rear along with large modern extensions are not considered of special interest.
