Description
Number 7 is a three-storey house, now flats, built in 1865 in York. It is constructed of brick with a slate roof. The exterior features sash windows without glazing bars, each with a rubbed brick flat arch and a first-floor sill band. A canted bay window on the ground floor has a modillion cornice and a raised brick panel base. The base also incorporates glazing bar sashes that illuminate the basement. A small, flat-roofed dormer is present in the attic, and a modillion gutter cornice runs along the top of the building. Chimneys are located on the left and right sides. The interior was not inspected. The property includes cast-iron gate and area railings. Number 7 is one of a group of speculatively built terraced houses along Bootham Terrace, created between 1860 and 1870, which represent a range of different designs.
