Description

This is a three-storey house, with an attic, built in 1794 by William Walker and later used as a guesthouse. The house is constructed of brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with a slate roof. The front facade features a modillion cornice gutter, and a lead hopper and downpipe on the left side. The windows are glazing bar sashes with rubbed brick flat arches above. A 20th-century dormer window with a leaded roof and centre-pivoted glazing bar window lights the attic. The doorway, located on the right, is topped by a semicircular brick arch with a fanlight and includes a six-panel door. A shared chimney is positioned in front of the roof ridge on the left. The right-hand gable wall was likely re-faced in the early 20th century with red brick. Records indicate the presence of an original staircase within the house.
