Description

This is an early 18th-century house, later used as an office, with alterations dating to around 1800. It is constructed of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with red brick window surrounds. The roof is slate-covered. The exterior has three storeys and two bays, featuring two horizontal string courses and a timber cornice gutter supported by paired brackets. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, each with a segmental arched head. A Tuscan pilaster doorcase with medallions above the capitals and an open dentilled pediment framing a fanlight is located to the left of the ground-floor window. The door itself has six raised and fielded panels. Chimneys are situated to the right and behind the ridge. The interior, as recorded by RCHM, retains an original open string staircase with turned balusters and square knops.
