Description
The Church of Saint James is a church dating from around 1200, which was restored in 1914. It is constructed of hammer-dressed limestone and has a plain tile roof. The building features a nave and chancel combined into a single structure with three bays. The west end is partially hidden by a 20th-century lean-to hut, above which is a small segmental-arched single-light window, along with a small round-arched window in the gable end. A bellcote is also present. On the north side, there is a 20th-century two-light window with Y-tracery and a round head. The south side has two round-headed windows, each with brick arches. At the east end, there is a 20th-century three-light window set beneath an elliptical arch.
